Enjoying Heavy Rain and Storm at Kochi, Kerala

It is monsoon season in Kerala and even though Kerala experienced a week monsoon this time, the last two days saw some heavy rains and storms. The heavy winds along with the rain has created enough havoc to disrupt the daily lives and power has went off in most of the places in and around Kochi. It is a nightmare for those riding vehicles on the road as most of the roads are in bad state and the visibility is almost poor. I managed to reach office without getting too much affected by the rain and wind, but after arriving at the office, I could see the situation changing drastically with the emergence of heavy rain and wind.

It was a great experience watching the rain from the window of my office and could see the heavy rain and wind making the big trees dance to their rhythm. The heavy wind made sure that rain waters got sprinkled into my room through the window. I could not do anything more rather than just enjoy my cup of tea and watch them coming. After few seconds, I was forced to close the doors of the window and again sit back and enjoy the rain from inside. Hope that the rain and wind retreats by the time I leave office in the evening.

Olive's new hotel at Kadavanthra Junction

Kadavanthra is one of the prime areas in Kochi and Kadavanthra junction is a placed which is marked for its unique buildings and shops. It has been a long time since I visited this place and today I happened to pass through Kadavanthra junction. I was quick enough to notice a new building by Olive hotel .group at Kadavanthra junction. The building is known as Olive Downtown and looks really nice and add more charm and beauty to Kadavanthra Junction in Kochi.
The hotel Olive Downtown is sure to have some of the best facilities and amenities which are the common attributes of Olive Hotel Group.

Another hectic traffic jam at Edapally junction

Yet another hectic traffic block at Edapally junction has taken my valuable time. I was off to pick someone from Kadavanthra and this unexpected block in the noon time really delayed all my plans. Usually such heavy traffic and blocks are rarely seen during this time at  Edapally. Adding more to this, the bad state of the roads also made things more difficult.

Top View of Marottichal Waterfalls in Kerala

Marottichal is one the most beautiful and yet tender travel attraction in Kerala. Marottichal is famous for its waterfalls which is accesible around 2-4 kilomters step path which one has to go by foot. Once you reach the top of the hills, you can get an amazing view of the Marottichal waterfalls and you can even go down and take a shower if the water fall is moderate. But in case of extreme waterfall and rough climatic conditions better not to get deep into the waterfalls and stay away from it.

Marottichal has two water falls named Olakkayam and Ilanjippara is located in the Thrissur district of Kerala and from Thrissur you can take a bus via Mannuthy byepass to Mannamangalam and then Marottichal. After 10-20 mins of your walk you will reach the first waterfall Olakkayam where you can have a safe batch and a good time. From there after traveling 3 kms through the rough jungle path, you will reach the second waterfall named Ilanjippara which is the best thing to view.

Also make sure to carry water and food as there would not be any shops during your 3 hour trek upwards to Ilanjippara waterfall. Also take your camera so as to capture the amazing beauty of Marottichal waterfalls.

Today is Google's 14th Birthday

It has been a great and brilliant 14 years since the search engine giant Google has emerged and dominated the online search industry. Ever since its arrival it has overtaken it competitors and has become the ultimate place on the internet where people search for something. Google is the most visited website on the internet and its search relevancy, accuracy and moreover its simplicity has won the heart of all. I was reminded about Google's 14 Birthday, when I opened their home page to search something and was really amazed how fast time has passed away and still Google remains the undisputed King of search engines.

Google has come a long way since its evolution and is now blessed with a wide range of products which are highly useful to common people. Most of the products are designed by Google itself and some were acquired by Google in its 14 years journey. Google is working hard on its products regularly, especially its search engine which it tries to provide the most relevant search results to user queries. More and more features are added to its search results which help users to get more accurate results for their search queries.

Hope that Google continues its effort in making online search easier and more relevant in the future. Again a Hearty Happy Birthday to Google!!
