The rains are over in Kerala and the government seems to have started their work on re-taring the roads which were filled with gutter / pothholes. The pathetic conditions of the roads in Kerala was a chief cause of worry for all and the journey through the roads were considered as an adventure for the past 6 - 7 months.
During the monsoon seasons, it is a common thing in Kerala to see the roads getting destructed. This has caused a lot of accidents, damage to vehicles and other issues. Now since the rains have withdrawn, it is the most perfect time to tar the roads and make the journeys much more smoother.
The roads are expected to be repaired in a month and after that we can expect a good travel experience atleast till the next monsoon season. If the roads are not tared properly we can expect them to crack even before the monsoon season. Since the tourism season is in its full flow, it was really a necessary thing to get these roads repaired. Such activities would also help to repair the tarnished image of the Government of Kerala to some extent.
