Learning a new language is one of the most tedious task and there are many problems that surface when someone starts learning a new language. There would be many barrier in front of you and you needs to cross those barriers successfully to master the new language. The ability to learn a new language often varies in people of different ages.
The basic success factor in learning any language is the willingness and enthusiasm to learn it and it should come from our inner mind. It you have enough enthusiasm to learn any language, then there is no looking back. Make sure that your language learning starts from the basics, and while going forward you should have your basics right and firm. Once you get the basics right, then learning a new language would be much more interesting and helps you to master it easily.
A few months back, one of my friend who was working with a call center, suddenly faced the need to learn some new languages such as German, Russian and French. Even though he was above par at handling English, he felt heart broken when his job demanded him to learn 3 new languages. All he knew was 2-3 words from German, and he was a total big zero at French and Russian languages. His confidence level also dipped to an all time low and found it difficult to find a solution. He even thought of quitting his job, but since he was working with a top notch firm he was doubtful whether to leave the company or take up the challenge of learning German, Russian and French.
At this time that he happened to meet me and I was working on some of my freelance projects. He told me that he was planning to quit the job, and when I heard about the reason behind it, I really felt sorry for him and felt like helping him at any cost. I had few clients who were into language training and other stuffs and I referred him some websites which offered some amazing and useful language training and tools. I was pretty sure that he can get some good help from some of these sites and I encouraged him to try some of these.
He made a research on these site and their abilities and he also came across Rosetta Stone Review at one of these site which proved a decisive factor for his language learning campaign. Any how he started using one of the above tool and started the art of language learning. I also suggested him watching movies of these languages which had English translation, so that he could get more idea about the language.
Almost after 1-2 months he became successful in learning these languages and also got a decent promotion. Currently he is the only guy in his company who have good command over English, German, French and Russian languages at the same time. This was yet another added advantage for his career.
What I am going to say is that if you have the will power, dedication, the right attitude and enthusiasm to learn any language, there is nothing to stop you. If you have all these qualities combined with a bit of hard work can get you where you need to be. You may make mistakes while learning, but don't get demoralized with these mistakes. Make sure that you convert these mistakes triumphs with your sheer determination and dedication. I would like to offer some more language learning tips in the coming months. Till then please wait patiently.

Bed Ridden, by the Frequent Rains in Kerala
At last the frequent rains in Kerala have left me bed ridden and this is the 6th consecutive day tha I am suffering from fever. I did self treatment for the first 2 days and left to the office on the 3rd day. But by evening I felt my body temperature rising rapidly and had to rush home only to get shelter on my bed and blanket.
However the next day I consulted a physician and he gave me a prescription which included some antibiotics as well. After taking his prescribed medicines, I am getting much better and hope to recover fully in the coming days. The fever is the main villain and my appetite for food is still there, but am afraid whether there would be any digestive problems. My blood test are all pretty good except for the cholesterol level which is around 220mg. But I can take hope from the fact that the blood test was not done under fasting, so this reading might not be correct.
So if you are in Kerala and your body have started showing slight symptoms of fever, then don't wait to consult a good physician, other wise you would end up wasting your valuable time and health.

A Year Since I Left Delhi / NOIDA
It has been exactly an year since I left Delhi / NOIDA for my future job assignments. I had been there for almost 5 years from the beginning of 2005 to the end of 2009. Delhi and NCR was something really special to me as I got my first job as an online marketing professional in NOIDA. My first job was as a web promotion executive / SEO with Indiamart, one of the largest B2B company in India. Before that I had worked for 2 months as an EDP executive for a hospital in NOIDA name Kailash Hospital and Research Center.
Since then life in Delhi was really enjoyable, as it had the pace of a metro city, variety, mixed culture, food etc. I was also able to go through the extreme climate in Delhi and I greatly enjoyed the Winter time as it was the period I choose for going around different destinations in Delhi. Delhi also presented me some great friends and I really enjoyed my time with them.
One of my favorite hang out zone in the NCR region was the Atta Market in Sector 18, NOIDA. Atta market had some of the best shopping malls and multiplexes such as the Great India Place, The Center
Stage Mall and Sab Mall which made it a shoppers paradise. The street food available at the Atta Market was really worth enjoying (especially during the Winter season). Even in the summer season I used to spend my free time at any of these malls to get respite from the extreme heat.
During my last one year, I shifted to Mayur Vihar Phase 3, but still maintained my closeness with NOIDA and was a frequent visitor to NOIDA. But as a part of my personal decision I planned to shift to Kerala and started searching for a job there. Finally I got an offer to work as an SEO consultant in Kerala and my days in Delhi started its countdown. And of October 4th 2009, I left Delhi leaving behind many sweet memories which are hard to erase. Still I miss Delhi and NOIDA very much and hope to visit there once I get some free time.

We desperately need holidays on Saturdays and Sundays
All of who do some type of job are certain to get tired by the end of the weekend and naturally their body demands rest. I most of the western countries weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) are meant for rest and they really enjoy their weekend. But unfortunately in India not many company follow these practices, except for some IT companies.
Especially people do work hard from Monday to Friday and by Saturday they really fall apart and they would not be in a good mood to go for work. But as the nature of their work and company they are forced to go and work even on the Saturdays. There are certain companies and jobs which requires to work even on Sundays. Some of these works may be done inside a office, while other work would be field works which requires to wander in the open environment, suffering the unpredictable climatic conditions.
My office is located in Kakkanad, Cochin and on Saturdays most of the companies nearby are having an off day, but we have to work on alternate Saturdays. When we go to work on Saturdays, our IT campus would look like a desert with one or two vehicles moving here and there. Upon seeing this sad site, we honestly wish that we also had an off day on Saturday. But that is the nature of our work and a lot depends on the client that you are working with.
The off day on Saturday really gives us an opportunity to rake rest and refresh ourselves to come back stronger and much fresher on Mondays. Fortunately I am having an off on this Saturday and am really looking forward to get mentally recharged and have some fun. I wish that I had off day of all Saturdays.
